So bottom line.. the game play is what you would expect.. but it seems like they decided to go back in time and downgrade the graphics. I keep thinking there was a problem with my video settings.. but there wasn't. This time around they gave the game more of a graphic novel type feel.. which in my opinion sucks. The first game really empressed me.. the level of detail the world and people had was amazing.. now they game just seels like a cartoon. Here some videos so you can see the diff. Woah, you're not kidding. What the f*ck...

I hate this cartoonish bullshit. It works for some games (WoW, Borderlands) but half of the time it's a cop-out from doing any real artistic work.

Yea it sucks.. after I posted this I wanted to be sure it wasn't just some setting I was missing or something.. nope.. all the videos out the show the cartoony crap. The game plays fine.. but some things suck in terms of graphics. I remember in the first game.. when you come out and are talking to The Butcher.. his hair in his beard.. and the way the lighting was done and stuff.. amazing graphics to look at.. I remember the cut scenes when you see the main characters flowing hair.. looked like an indian's hair.. it was really impressive. In this one.. I met the butcher.. His hair is polygons.. looks like he was made for Quake 3.

Yea I editted the post because I cannot iterate this enough. 2 fingers straight up your ass whoever was responsible for this sequel piece of sh!t!. Roughly 7 hours of game play on it's hardest setting.. no challenge to the game whatsoever... nothing scary or creepy about it.. nothing interesting about it. The damn game wasn't even fun. It is for all intents and purposes.. CRAP!

Graphics.. suck.. I know the game was derived from a comic.. but making the sequel look like a comic when the first one looked bad ass was jus a bad call. Because of the cartoon graphics all elements that made the first one scary and creepy.. are GONE.

Gameplay.. There is nothing inspired about this crap. They give you a talent tree to "I guess" give you some variation to your gameplay.. but getting points to level up is soooo damn easy.. you max out the whole damn tree like have way through the game. They try to make it seem interesting by giving you the option to select cool execution moves and stuff.. but they are the same moves over and over.. which gets boring.. and they are so slow it takes away from the pace of the game. Since they new this was a fail.. they tried to go over the top by making the execution gross.. but the graphics just make them look comical and stupid. I guess I can say POILER here.. but one of the moves your tentical grabs a guy... turns him upside down and pulls his spine out of his **bleep**. That "idea" sounds cool.. but when you see it.. all you do is scratch your head and say.. ummm.. that was pretty stupid.

I played this game on the hardest difficulty because it's an FPS and all FPS games I have to play as hard as possible to get my money's worth. There is no intelligence to the game's AI AT ALL. The first one was very difficult and entertaining. This one.. Do yourself a favor.. and just remember that the first one was great.

^ Thanks for the heads up. I liked the demo ok, but wasn't sure how the game overall would fair. I too thought the first one was really cool. The new look is most definitely a step backward. Looks like the game overall is too.
