While I had it in the past I haven't had this problem in quite some time.

I've noticed that sometimes it insists that you go through all the pages in a big thread before it will mark it as read too. An annoyance on 2-3 page threads but a bigger problem with something like the Rig Pics thread.

Never had this problem.  However, if there's a thread with hundreds of messages, sometimes I need to go back a couple pages for all the messages to be marked as "read"

I would have expected it to be just the pages that have posts you haven't read yet that have to be viewed before it was marked as read too. That doesn't seem to be the case. I can go back through the Rig Pics thread to pages that I've definitely read before and it still will not mark it as read sometimes. Other times it works the way you'd think it would. It can be very hit and miss. Occassionally I'll just mark the entire board as "read" and then it will work properly for a while.

I believe that it resets the read/unread status each time they upgrade the back end of the forum.  Seems to happen every 2-3 weeks.  Yeah, it's pretty annoying.  Strange too because it never used to happen until a few months ago.
