Yeah, it's a problem with the site right now. I was told that the hack or whatever that led to the down-time originated in that area of the site, so it was excised in order to bring us back. Work to restore that functionality is on-going, however you can still view the news on the front page in blog format. You may have to change an option under your account settings if you set it to show only headlines down there, too, though.
